For the 2019 and 2020 festival seasons, internationally renowned organist and conductor Michael Bawtree is appointed as Festival Curator, bringing a great wealth of music to the Marsh.

The role of Festival Curator is important and remains vital to the programming of this festival. JAM on the Marsh invites highly respected performers to curate the festival, for a maximum of two years, thus ensuring that the festival remains dynamic  ever-developing and continuously changing. 

Festival Curators to date have included the internationally renowned composers, Judith Bingham (2013-14) and Paul Mealor (2015-16) and most recently, Durham Cathedral’s Master of the Choristers, Daniel Cook (2017-18).
