MUSIC
This wide-ranging recital connects natural and spiritual regeneration, recognising loss, beauty, love and joy. Music from the Renaissance to the present day comes from England (Byrd, Britten, Parry and Dove), Germany (Schütz, Schubert and Rheinberger), Scandinavia and Iceland (Alfvén and Sigurbjörnsson). Jazz standard arrangements come from the USA as does Christopher Tin’s work Wild Swans that was written for the group, and Taylor Scott Davis’s 2021 commission that gives us the programme’s title.
