ABOUT the RESIDENCY

JAM’s 2025 Composers’ Residency for Piano and Percussion offers an invaluable opportunity for early-career composers to collaborate with expert musicians and mentors, pushing the boundaries of creativity and composition.

During the festival residency, each composer will write a 15-minute (maximum) piece for piano and percussion for premiere on Saturday, 12 July 2025 as part of JAM on the Marsh.

Through daily workshops and feedback sessions, culminating in a world premiere by each participant, composers will refine their craft in a vibrant, collaborative setting, fostering their development as innovative music creators. Performances will be professionally recorded and filmed.
